improve the flow of material through
the machine.
The machine also features an
advanced electronic control system
that monitors and controls the speed
of the rotor and regulates the
heavy‑duty vibrating feeder (VGF)
with integrated pre-screen to maintain
a consistent feed of material into the
impact chamber for optimal crushing
conditions. Material from the
integrated pre-screen can be diverted
to a stockpile via an optional bypass
conveyor, or it may join the crushed
product on the main belt.
“The introduction of the Terex
®
Finlay I-140 represents a significant
step change in our family of impact
crushers,” said Alan Witherow,
Product Manager. “Our field test
results of extensive testing have
recorded significant productivity
increases depending on the
application, over the model that it
replaces. The enhanced material flow
process of the plant represents a
significant step change to our
engineering ethos and in due course
will be extended to encompass our
range of impact crushers.”
A stage for new
announcements from
Terex Washing Systems
Meanwhile, Terex Washing Systems
(TWS) will present its washing
solution at bauma, which will provide
the stage for a number of key
announcements.“Working for mines,
quarries and aggregate producers
around the world, TWS equipment
delivers consistently high-quality,
added value products with maximum
efficiency,” the company said in a
press release. “The TWS product
portfolio combines a unique and rich
heritage with sector leading
innovation, reflected in our broad
range of material and washing
solutions.“
Wirtgen
The Wirtgen surface miner is the key
technology to achieve substantial
savings in mining, transport and
processing. In its mineral technology
business sector, Wirtgen GmbH will
concentrate on surface miner
innovations and their benefits for the
entire surface mining operation – from
mining face to final product.
Additionally the Wirtgen Group offers
application consulting and onsite
service to support its customers in
generating more revenue with every
tonne of material moved. The new
interface detection system enhances
the surface miner’s ability to
selectively separate coal and waste,
leading to a higher quality and higher
recovery of the material mined. As a
result fewer truck loads are required
and the throughput of the
downstream processes is maximised.
This is how Wirtgen surface miners
help customers to bring down their
costs and raise their revenue.
Wirtgen offers three surface miner
performance classes which can be
configured variably to meet the needs
of each project: the 2200 SM/2200 SM
3.8, the 2500 SM and the 4200 SM. The
company will showcase the 2500 SM
(Figure 4) at bauma.
